There are 3 areas about the implementation strategy that will be discussed in this playbook:

  1. How do we filter schools, and how do we reach out to them?
  2. What are different scenarios that could unfold from the initiative and what are our action plans for each?
  3. What will the mentorship program look like?

Filtering Schools and Outreach

We are targeting secondary all-girls boarding schools in Nairobi, starting with private and then expanding the program to public. The schools should have the majority of the following (the more the better): interest, internet, electricity, space, a teacher to be able to help instruct students on how to use devices, and a teacher to supervise. They should also have an openness to mentors and workshops. We will reach out to whatever contacts we can get from online resources via email, phone numbers, or letters, preferably to the principal or directors of extracurriculars. To get in touch, we'll be contacting the educational and financial departments of the government, county representatives, standardized testing administrations and universities. If such contacts become difficult to get a hold of, we could potentially send representatives to go in person.
